How do I prevent Phytophthora root rot?
Phytophthora root rot occurs in various crops. The best known is the so-called potato disease. But also in ornamental plant cultivation we encounter the fungus more and more often. Just like Pythium, Phytophthora spreads through water.
The leaves of crops affected by root rot take on a yellowish color. The roots turn brown and rot away. The fungus grows into stem segments and finally the plant dies. Often the thinner roots are affected first. Wet soil and high soil temperature provide optimum conditions for the fungus.
With the ErfGoedFloor, you have complete control over the climate of the plant. So there is no question of waterlogging or an overly humid culture. Stress factors, such as too high a soil temperature, can also be easily prevented with the ErfGoedFloor.
